SCAM - calimed to be O2 calling about discounts. Hung up when challenged.

SCAM text claiming to be from a post office delivery man called Simon who had been unable to deliver with a link to a site for redirection. I knew it was fake but linked site appears very genuine/clone of a real one. Requests input of personal info. My response as always to block and report the number.

Didn't answer. Looked it and and over a dozen reports of various scam attempts including pretending to be HMRC.

Pre - recorded woman’s voice saying there was a £900 transaction pending on my Visa card, and “Press button 1 to report this if it isn’t you.” I have no Visa card. Scam.

Recorded message about supposed "bank fraud". Invitation to press 1 or 2, which I didn't take up. Why don't these people do something useful with their time?

Very elaborate work scam. This phone number will text saying there is a position in a US company to optimise apps. The website seems legit but once you do all they say. They will ask you to send them money to unblock the cryptomomey. Dont do it and report it.

Received a text today from 07520619511 about a labourers job required by CLS and giving a landline number for CLS to apply. I am a 68 yr old woman and not in the market for employment let alone a labourer. The text was sent by mobile 07520619511 which when checked on this site is a SCAM number

Claiming to be Carphone Warehouse and keep calling me at work, scam

"Bank of Scotland" left concurrently 2 text messages and a voicemail, & phoned from 0333 045 9640. 1st text said "You will shortly receive a text from Bank of Scotland Card Services to confirm recent activity on your card ending xxxx" (the actual numbers on my card). 2nd text said fraudulent purchase of £349 from Apple had been blocked. Called from Citizens advice group. I questioned the male caller with a south Asian accent in some detail. He was very helpful. They were calling about debts and he asked what debts we had. I asked him where they got our number and he replied FCA ????????????. I then asked him for the person or department name as I have previously worked with FCA in the past, he didn’t give it to me. He was very polite and said he couldn’t continue. He also said they weren’t authorised in the UK!

Scammer tried to reach out on whatsapp offering a job that pays in crypto. It is a scam but you should definitely have fun and give them ridiculous answers.

Scam call claiming to be from Sky. Clearly with no understanding of broadband, and how Sky works. They try to get you to download software, it is criminal.

Fraud, contact number for a seller of a Vauxhall Mokka that had been clocked from over 370,000 miles down to 38,000 miles.

Said he was from EE - offering me a 30% discount on my phone bill for being such a good customer- I just had to provide them with confirmation of my details (That old chestnut!). I'm not even with EE. Scam!

This number is used by scammers. My experience is that they advised me that my PayPal account had been used suspiciously, and invited me to call this number and get the supposed transaction cleared. What made this so dangerous, was the fact that they used the Paypal site giving this number to contact to resolve the problem. Very cute, they nearly caught me, but they asked too many questions about bank accounts, which set the alarm bells ringing. Asked why, the call was terminated.
