Text message says: David Laird could you please call Cabot on 65 with your reference 33715091Never heard of this name or Cabot. Just going to ignore and from what I read hear just a scam trying to get me to ring a premium rate number.
This number called me after I had placed a request for a tradesperson to do some work for me. His accent sounded very artificial as if it wasn’t his normal accent. He may have been genuine but I don’t think he was. It is showing as a number from Russia and I live in the UK. He said he would come this evening to look at the work that need to be done. He would not take any details about where I live but wanted me to text them to him. I have read that 0738 is associated with scam calls so did not text.

Spoke to a man with a thick accent, saying he was calling from Manchester, even though the number is a London exchange. Even after he spelled the company name, I still didn t catch who he was with. He , like all the rest calling from these 020 numbers say they are wanting to speak to the business owner and when i asked about what they tell me finances, etc, this one said my company had "qualified for an unsecured loaned".
