I did not know I was being charged extra, I don’t even know why I started to receive text from this 88222 number. My monthly phone bill is normally £45 per month unlimited talk and text and 4gb data. Last month my bill was slightly higher, this month my bill went to £89 pounds all because I was receiving messages from the number 88222. I had to send STOP to prevent further higher bills.
I m with Virgin, they claimed to be BT Openreach - problem with my router, at rev 568 needs to be 768 - engineer can fix it. Kept em tied up for about 20 minutes so that they couldn t scam other people - tried usual trying to get me to install remote control software so they can drop malware on me
SCAM received several phone calls via WhatsApp demanding payment for providing a service befor anything would be done. Lady admitted was of German origin and was ringing from Bournemouth. Payment was to be via PayPal or Amazon gift cards only, on refusal became more aggressive.
