Guy called Travis Smith from BT Technical dept called (but he was clearly an Indian!!!) said I would be disconnected for 23 days within the hour if I didn't perform the following checks. Had a call claiming to be HMRC saying I've committed tax fraud and that action was being taken against me. I was told to press 1 to find out more so I hung up as I have read somewhere that as soon as you press a number, your phone can be hacked or something bad like that. I know for a fact that I haven't committed tax fraud and I don't think HMRC would phone. They usually send letters in the first instance. Therefore I'm flagging this up as dangerous.
Cocky Liverpool bloke. Said he was calling about my category c accident. When I said what accident, he asked how did I not know I had been in a accident! I cut him off due to his rudeness.
I have been called 3 times by this number over the last 2 weeks - often at highly inconvenient meal times. It appears to be cold calling fund raising drive linked with University of Birmingham (I am an alumnus). Very annoying and puts me off ever donating any dosh to the University (even if I had some to spare! I would like this to stop.

I used this company a few years ago and they haven t stopped ringing me since to ask if they could provide me with another product. This is despite me telling them on numerous occasions that I won t be buying anything from them again. It goes in cycles, they ring every day for a few days until I end up getting angry and answer them to tell them to stop ringing and to remove my details. They stop for a couple of months before starting up again. Well not any more as I have now blocked their number.
