I'm not too certain about the caller, as he started off by saying both my Company name & personal name, & he'd obviously "done his homework" as when I asked him who was calling, he said the name of my provider. Unfortunately he spoke at the speed of sound, so when I asked, he said he'd speak slower, but then the line disconnected, so I didn't get to find out whether the caller was genuine or not. Boilers on Benefits. DO NOT give any information to them. Just tell them TPS (nothing else) and hang up. Unfortunately they will have shared your number with other companies who make these nuisance calls. So be prepared to get even more if you answer this one. I have ansafone on 24/7 and seldom answer unknown numbers. But since this one is London and with the current emergency going on there with the fire, I answered in error. Scam call I believe.

Called themselves Castlecroft Hazelere - and not a Sales Call, clearly lying they make appointments for IFA's - nothing wrong with that but caller did not know any basics and could not answer basic questions about pensions....sadly did not do her homework either as I own an IFA business and tied her in knots. If as an IFA I were paying for these ' Appointment booking' services I woul want a full refund as they are c**p. fortunately we do not and never have advertised...stay clear is my recommendation. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16181426xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance claims, financial marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new?
Rang us at 6 am, female caller had a Philippines accent, wanted us to take part in a survey for the FINANCIAL TIMES. A scam call from “ Inside Revenue” trying to glean tax information. The foreign sounding man said he could help with claiming the marriage allowance! I told him that as I worked for HMRC anyone who claims the marriage allowance simply has to tick a box on their tax return and there is no need for any interference from a company calling themselves “Inside Revenue”. My advice is give no information and block the number.
