Safe number Is actually an Indian guy calling who refers you to O2 who sign you up for their Sim Only deal. Shame they have a dodgy-sounding Indian guy getting them customers, because it makes O2 look dodgy. FYI: I have received all genuine emails and contract info from O2 and... I received my SIM! 100% legit (apart from the guy calling millions of numbers from India hoping to get someone to say yes so he can earn his referral commission from O2!).
Call center Asked for my wife by name, renewal due on TV care package I challenged, said it was a scam because my wife left all TV to me and we have never had cover. I asked for proof and was assured they had proof, when I said my wife had died years ago they could not progress their payment request, as any debt had ceased. I should have progressed further before reporting my wife had died.
This number rang off a couple of minuets of my saying hello ... when I called back it said it was an incorrect number so it does seem to be suspicious.
Call fro HMRC with an American like voice, saying you owe taxes. Press one for more details. Think it’s a scam and put the phone down.

Received call from this number today and it was a bad line so I was asking is anybody there at the same time as the guy started with 'Hi there maam, this is.....' he then disconnected the call. Fraud Call - I got a called from this number saying they were from O2 and offering me a 40% discount on my bill. They said I would receive a code from them and to read it out to them. I got 2 messages from O2 saying I had requested a security code and not to give the code to anyone and if I suspected fraud to call 202. The lady got really aggressive when I said I wouldn't give her the code as O2 shouldn't need the code. When I said I would check if this was ok she gave me another number to call to verify -

Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk.
