Called my business number. No message left on machine. 1471 revealed the phone number. Tried calling several times but got number unobtainable tone.
Never have landline calls, emergency use only as landline is in place for broadband. This number just called, ironic as just gave Sky Broadband and Line Rental 14 days notice to quit due to call charges increase. I do not give this landline number out to anyone except my parents. Very strange a coincidence I am leaving Sky and a unsolicited call from EE as noted above call ??

Recorded message started to play, then started again from the beginning saying there had been a serious claim made against me and HMRC had my house under surveillance. Hung up before this nonsense went any further.

A gentleman who sounded African, giving his name as George, said he was from a company (poss a website?) whose name I did not quite catch, sounded like "evil News", which sounded like nothing I have ever signed up for or connected with, trying to get personal and financial information. told him I was ending the call and rang off. It screamed "phishing scam" at me.

Said they were revenue and customs spoke with a heavy Indian accent obviously another scam, when I did a phone number check it came up as no such number. Be very careful of this one.
Answered to someone speaking very fast in another language seemingly me talking had no impact (possibly prerecorded)
