Fraud. Claims to be PayPal but answered by Indian call center. Asked them what my paypal email address was and they hung up. Kept calling them and asking if they knew that what they were doing was fraud/illegal.

I had a call this afternoon apparently from this number 08000234567, which I know is the number of the Financial Ombudsman's Office, when the caller said he was from the fraud dept of my bank. I had called the Financial Ombudsman earlier in the day on that number. It did not feel right and when I challenged the caller he put down the phone. Somebody may be able to pick up the numbers of those who have called the FOO? I will tell the FOO by email as their phone system takes too long to get through!

SCAM Purporting to be Amazon, recorded message saying that you are to be charged £79.00 for Prime membership. Don't have Prime so knew it was a scam

They claimed to be from my bank (VM money was Yorkshre Bank) to ask me about potential fraud on my card. (£52 on Argos in Aberdeen) I was supicious when they got agressive when I didn't know my banking paswword and I said I would have to call them back. I called the fraud number I have in my phone (0800 121 4251) and they confirmed it wasn't them that called me before. The chap on the actual fraud line also said that the real bank won't ask for any part of or all your internet banking password EVER!

Call was answered and it said Goodbye before hanging

SCAM Claiming to by Lloyds - a bank I don’t even have an account with. Text message saying “You have requested £829.99 to Asim Khan DEBIT will reflect shortly on your accounts. Contact us if this was NOT you via, 0333 339 4872”. Apparently both numbers in France. FFS fed up to the back teeth with scammers - LPA for my mum who has been scammed out of thousands of pounds. They need shooting.

Tried to scam me by calling my phone and asked for my email address. Then I was told to check my email for a password to allow her to add me to her address list because she allegedly lost her list. When I checked the email message it was a code authorizing to reset my Facebook password, so I did not give the information. This person was even messaging in our native dialect. She avoided talking to me live though when I answered her call the first time, and just sent the message asking for my email.

Before I did I redialled it with a automatic message saying UK Ties please hold till someone answers, now saying this number isn't recognised saying now Suspected Scam on my mobile. Bot first spoke saying quotScottish Power are trying to contact you press 1 to talk to an advisorquot I press 1 then some Indian woman asks for my full name and address I say that Im not comfortable giving my address over the phone like that they didnt even say why they were calling then they put me on hold then hung up on me Its either 1 a scam or 2 a bad organisation doing dirty work for Scottish Power Either way theyre untrustworthy and should be avoided
