Says they are from O2 and told me that I am getting a massive discount on my contract as I've been with them for so long. The funny thing is, I'm not even with O2 and as soon as I pointed this out (while laughing) they immediately hung up.

SCAM Pretending to be my daughter asking (in a text pretending the phone was damaged so they couldn’t speak to me) for £1220 urgent into her account. I refused and told them no. They persisted “I’m not lying”. I didn’t believe them. I called my daughter who clarified it was not her.

Insurance Called from Direct Insurance about my kitchen appliances claiming that as I hadn't made a claim in over a year they could offer me a substantial discount on my renewal fee. The thing is, although I haven't claimed I am NOT insured with this company. Numbers 01182-302112 -308128 & -308140 are loft insulation scams. Phone rings and caller, a computer, hangs up if it doesn't hear a voice! If you answer "hello" or anything else, your line is then logged as a 'VOICE LINE' and you'll be called back sometime later by a con-artist! Whenever you don't recognize a number, DON'T SPEAK! JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anyone and the line goes dead, then you've just successfully escaped being scammed! Well done :-)

This number has called me a couple of times. On both occasions the recorded message states that £700 has been taken from my card for Amazon and £2000 for another transaction. It asks you to press different buttons 1 or 2 to authorise or stop the transactions. On both occasions I hung up and checked my bank account and my amazon account. This is a scam. Be aware.
