Received a call from this number and listening to the message can understand why people fall for this. The message advises that HMRC wish to speak with you and it may be in your interest to appoint a Solicitor. Then asks that you call back. I called back and an Asian male answered with "This is Her Majesties Revenue Control, how can I help you" I hung up. This is a scam - do not entertain requests from anyone calling from a number that is not on the HMRC website www.gov.uk/government/organisatio
07905726731 using voice automated machine (woman with an American accent) stating they were from Amazon and I so called I owe them over £ 3 thousand pounds. It is not true. It is an ugly scam and I hope they get caught. Too much of this going on and it pisses me off.

Just picked up a message informing me HMRC were filing a lawsuit against me. Did not address me by name. Tried to call the number back and was told the number was busy and to leave a message. Their answer phone DID NOT state it was HMRC.
