This person claimed to be from Microsoft and told me there were serious problems with my computer and asked me if I was in front of my computer to enable him to guide me to correct these problems. They are now going under the name 'Resolve' - They didn't know my name or details and asked me 101 questions. I have since blocked the number.
Company calling regarding our BT account. Considering there was a huge delay before someone answered (despite them calling our office) and they asked for a retired person (hung up when given this information) I'm inclined to believe this isn't genuine and should be avoided.

I assume it was an automated call from some seller and that the call was dropped because those companies employ systems that phone multiple numbers from their sales telephone lists and when calls are connected they switch them through to their sales reps or similar.
