The call was soon followed by another from '01420 226 637'. The 'bot' hung-up when I answered, but did not say anything.

Asian female rang and asked for me by name. When I asked who was calling she kept asking if I was the person she wanted. I said "if you tell me who is calling I will fetch her for you" and she hung up. Called claiming to be from virgin media. Asked to press ctrl and r on your computer. This is the start of the process to allow remote access. I'm aware of someone who did this and then had an attempt to have internet banking set up. Someone else had their bank account emptied after doing what they asked. I told them I wasn't prepared to do anything as was aware of scams from people claiming to be calling from virgin media. They hung up straightaway then.
