Wasn t quite sure how to categorise this one. I m 99% sure it was a bot that had set phrases in a normal , local accent. It called me about a non-existent car accident I d apparently had. I d definitely recommend blocking straight away.

I get one or two calls from this number a day, this has been going on for weeks. Twice I've phoned back and they said they are Co-Op Bank. I said I'm not comfortable talking to them as they called me. They said they really need to speak to me but I need to go through security first, and that I can call from an alternative number if I'd like to. I have now blocked them.
Some poorly educated almost illiterate Asian male called claiming to have evidence that my computer was infected with malware. Why these people persist with this I have no idea ...

This number when called back tells you that you have dialled an incorrect number. My opinion is by experience that it’s a spam number. Usually trying to sell something or get details from you for insurance or PPI claims. I have blocked now.

Had this number call a few times, yes it's part of Halifax but it's one of many of their areas - it could be birmingham midshires mortgage. It's not a scam. The reason you can't call the number back is it's a number set up not to accept incoming calls - many banks/mortgage companies etc have them now adays. Yes sometimes it's an Asian person, sometimes it's an English person - I'd love to know how you know though that they're muslim! Just because you can't call the numbeer back doesn't = scam. Said they were part of a government scheme regarding loft insulation we have installed & there were concerns it may be mouldy ( there is nothing wrong with it) but don’t panic they were offering a survey, ffree of charge of course. He was obviously reading from a script. When I started asking more questions he asked if I was the homeowner and I said no I’m their daughter & they hung up! Very suspicious to me. Warn all of your friends & family.
