Tried to get 2.5k out of my neighbour after telling him we were having work done in our loft (which we arent)he used our names so Neighbour gave him his phone number and got 2 calls later that day one from my "Son" (I dont have kids)saying he will come to collect the cheque for 2.5k and one from someone pretending to be my husband, it was only when my neighbour said, it doesnt sound like you because the caller had a northern accent which my husband doesnt, he twigged and sent him off with a flea in his ear.

My 81 year old father was targeted and asked to insure his 4 year old Indesit washing machine. Unwittingly he set up a d.debit which he cancelled the next day, with the bank, when he realised he already had cover. He rang Appliance Serve and told them too, he was asked to put it in writing which he did. He is now getting calls about his non payment and they are threateneing court action as they said they hadn t received a phone call or letter. Total fraudsters targeting the elderly. #scammers

Red Star PPI are also using numbers from Bolton, Manchester, this Birmingham centre, also Hexham, seems they have figured a way to call from one centre but use different numbers...

Rang us at 6 am, female caller had a Philippines accent, wanted us to take part in a survey for the FINANCIAL TIMES. Asked her if she was aware of the time and answered very brazenly "Yes it s very early" told her that we were not interested but she carried on so told her to "F**K OFF" and hung up. Posting this also on the FT Facebook WALL!!
