I got a call from a lady what sounded like an Australian accent, asking about a PPI claim with my bank. She was unable to identify any further information about me, other than the fact I am owed a refund back from my bank. Which she could not identify which bank owes me this money. I been contacted many times in the past few years by these scammers on very similar 0161 939 numbers. Guy spoke -very fast- perfect English. Claimed to work for Connect / Openreach / Plusnet and wants to save me 35%. I always put the phone down on such charitable calls from unknown individuals.

the most annoying thing ever. For the past 5 days, they keep calling. I told them I am not interested, yet, they keep calling, so annoying.

If you get a call you should answer or call back as the problem is that the initial database maker sells your number on to other junk call companies. If you have a call from them you should call the number back and ask for James, the call centre manager and demand where they got your number from. Yet another call scamming off the "your insurance / pension was mis-sold" junk which is doing the rounds at the moment.

Lisa rang wanted £95 for advertising dance classes on st Neots surgery appt cards. I took her number and she did admit that she wasn t local. Not surprised it a a scam but she wasn t rude at all

I am local to Wrexham and have recently had 4 local numbers that have called me whose numbers I don t recognize so have left the calls go to answer phone but shortly after my answer phone message starts, they hang up. They are probably all from the same organization all calling from different numbers. So far the numbers who have called me are as follows: 01978 638019 01978 638253 01978 638486 01978 638995 I just wish I had bought a better landline phone to block these and other nuisance spam

This number rang me approx 2pm this afternoon,did not answer and no message left on my answer phone,keep getting this sort of call ,sometimes can get a phone number when dialing...

It seems the criminals, who obtained personal information as a result of leaked information from Talk Talk, are telling people their broadband service is likely to be closed down after 24 hours. It is rubbish. I did not answer the call, and got my information from other sites.
