A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. This number phoned me at 16.31 this afternoon. It sounded as if there was an office or similar room with people talking. When I asked who was calling, without giving my name, a lady said "good afternoon, how are you today?" I asked again who was calling. the lady said " your father" and hung up. I will be blocking this number henceforth.
Telemarketing, called me 3 times in 2 days, twice I missed it, just looks like some random London number and at the time of writing this there are no results when I search for this number so it seemed like it could've been something important when it was just advertising. This company is suposed to be a Management Property Company.(alas I didn't catch the name) They phoned today theBank Holiday for our Queens Funeral which I was watching. When I rang it back (02045 385857) it rang & rang. but no reply. It was not a normal ring for the UK but a ring for abroad. This made me think it was the middle of the night somewhere. The lady I spoke to was called ANN............The whole world knew what was happening in the UK . Disgusting.........

When I answered they hung up! So annoying, I assume spammers - I'm on the preference service too, so where do they get details from?
Said they were BT, I had too many people using my IP. The account name was wrong. They said they could block them from their server, but it would be better from my PC. After my challenges they sent a text message with a verification code. It said to change my password. I did. Had one previously, real BT support said it was a scam. Assumed this identical call was too. Only the false account name was a clue, otherwise how can you tell?
