a SCAM perpetrated by HMRC? Could not sort Tax code out online and was told to ring another number. Called it and after lengthy process getting into the right Q and waiting 18 minutes was told to ring 08444740101 instead. (charged £12.25 for waiting during that call!). I rang that number and after another 20 minutes listening to Muzak...eventually got someone....30 minutes later for an error HMRC had made I discovered a charge of £17.45. for calling HMRC! Phoned asking if we wanted our Dyson cleaner servicing (we haven t got one) Based in Leeds and we are on the TPS so how can what they do be legal? Obviously just fishing for someone who HAS actually got a Dyson product to no doubt rip them off with some service agreement.
They told me they work together with UK company called Green Energy UK. I contacted Green Energy UK and in fact they do not corporate with anyone. I was offered to meet and talk about benefits of having solar panels, but I doubt I go because they were already lying to me about their corporation.

If a company like this keeps calling and ask if they are speaking to you, say no and ask what department they work in and keep playing a long as if you are in a multinational company. If they think you are a business, they take you off their cold calling list straight away. Have done this with multiple companies and they never ring back.
