SCAM Unusually, this was actually an English person on the other end of the phone rather than a call centre setting from India etc! The number rang my works mobile at 10:05 09/05/2023. The person on the other end spoke very well and professional, saying that they were calling from HSBC, and were making me aware of activity in my account that looked suspicious, that money was being taken out by an advertising firm. Pretending to be from Amazon and saying that I had a £900 transaction taken from my Amazon account and wanted me to follow their instructions and put a code in my phone I told him to call me back in 10 minutes as my daughter would be speak to him and she works with the police he hung up. I did know it was a scam that’s why I said it. I just feel sorry for the people that they do trap as they are scum. If you don’t No them hang up. And don’t give them any of your details.

SCAM Message popped up on my laptop stating that it was in danger of being hacked and had been temporarily blocked. The error message suggested I called a helpline (number stated 020) said to be Microsoft Security. I rang, lady answered (Indian/pakistan accent) lots of noise in the background, she wanted me to depress the windows and the letter R key on my laptop. was evasive when I asked what would happen. Received a call from this number (07922591295). Its a scam. A voice telling us that we had an £800 on line gambling charge on our our Visa card in America that they (presumably Visa or our bank?) thought was suspicions and was on hold. To stop it we just needed to respond by pressing 1.

Text scam using a Santander debit card transaction as a front.

01223931099 rang with a very loud background noise proporting to be a call centre. The caller, with a strong foreign accent, alleged he was from sky refund centre; however, when I said ok in a less than enthusiastic manner, the caller hung up. This is most unlike any sky call centre I have experienced. I suspect it to be a scam.

01483 912149 is a harassing company called MotorEasy. Despite telling them numerous times on previous calls, no thank you. The caller is harassing, today it was a guy called Freddie who was both combative and hostile. When will these people ever learn?

This phone number was sent to me in a text message from a “debt recovery agency” and was told to phone this number, the Text itself doesn’t show a senders number, only DEBT RECOVE, I did call the number to see who it was and it was answered by an Asian man who asked why I was calling him,
