My mother has been contacted many times on this and other phone numbers. The message, from the caller is always the same, she tells my mother, first in English and then in Chinese that she has a package waiting for her, to collect from the Chinese embassy. This is clearly a scam call.
I got a text from this number telling me I am eligible for a discounted energy bill rebate and telling me I can apply from this link http://energy.bill-rebate.com. That link looks like a Gov.com site ok but when I do a separate visit to Gov.com it states there that I do not need to apply for this. something fishy about this I think

I answered a call from this number at 2.19pm today and I could not understand what the man on the phone was saying. When I said, Sorry as in I didn't understand and wanted him to repeat what he said, he just hung up. I'm guessing it was some sort of SPAM phone call.
Just received a call from this number asking for my father , bucase the number they called is a works mobile I explanied that he wasnt available , the operator ( asian male ) then asked me does he give you his phone look after , I replied yes to which he called me a fucker and then hung up , he claimed to be from citizens advice originally !

Silent call - didn’t recognise number so was suspicious from the start. Answered by saying ’hello’ - line then goes dead. I guess the point is to call back and fall into some sort of scam. This happens so many times.

Was an answerphone recording telling me I owed money to the Tax office. I blocked the number as I'm sure HMRC don't use mobile phones to make calls, and will find a conventional method of contacting me rather than a dodgy auto service.

Fraud Pre recorded message posing as Credit Card company stating your card has been used twice this morning, one transaction supposedly for Amazon the 2nd I couldn’t quite understand but for large sums of money. Man with strong Indian accent calling himself "Daniel", claiming to be calling from "Microsoft Encarta" and saying that hackers had infected my PC, so he'd need access to it. A complete criminal scam. I told him I needed to go and get my computer, then left him waiting for ages until he eventually hung up. Number now blocked & reported to ICO.
