Called today 21.07.23, Indian sounding call centre claimed they could save me 30% of my O2 bill, I am not with O2, and when I asked where they found my number they said it was from a generated call list. My phone has the function of bringing up the business name when a call comes through, so when I proceeded to tell the caller that the actual call seemed to be coming from Gibb & Evans, he became a little confused! SCAM I was phoned by this number today. It was a crackly line and the woman said she it was a bank call telling me that there were 2 suspicious payments from my bank account today. One for £300 and one for £3000. There were nos to press to agree to the payments or a number to speak to someone. I ended the call and then redialled the number registered, but it said that it was an incorrect number.

Some clown demanding to speak to an IT manager. Gave the name of someone who doesn't even work here ! Turned out he couldn't even phone the correct company. As if any sensible organization would pick up the phone to complete strangers enquiring about their IT systems ! Almost certainly some kind of scam. Number blocked.
