When I pick phone up cant hear anything then the phone goes dead. This number phoned me 3 times yesterday and 2 times today

Caller claimed they were calling because my Beko washing machine warranty had expired. I don t have a Beko washing machine. I gave this incorrect information to a unwanted cold call last week (Indian caller, UK Preference, claiming they were doing a survey). They have obviously passed my details to this company.

Said they were telephone preference service that were signed up to. Knew name and address. Said bills were paid by direct debit, card ending in 17. I said my husband sorts it so I ve no idea. Then wanted me to get a statement. I said no. I asked if my husband could sort it online but she didn t understand and kept offering to phone back.

Received call at 20:38 he did not give his name just said he was from Lloyds Bank regarding a recent enquiry I made, I don’t even Bank with Lloyds anymore. He went on to ask can I spare him sometime? I told him no and this sounded like a scam to me then ended the call One other point he did not sound very professional

If you get a call you should answer or call back as the problem is that the initial database maker sells your number on to other junk call companies. If you have a call from them you should call the number back and ask for James, the call centre manager and demand where they got your number from. If you don t the problem of nuisance calls will get worse. You can then call the initial seller and ask to be removed from the main database. Pinpoint (Call Solutions) Ltd. Keeps calling my number but usually no one is there when I answer. Just a long period of silence and then the call is ended. Very annoying and probably upsetting for some people. I have spoken to them in the past and said I was not interested but it has not deterred them from calling again and again.

Had a call from this number at 09:49 10/02/2023. Left a voicemail with nothing but background noise

If the number is blocked some of these calls then get through on an unknown or withheld number. As our doctors and the hospital withhold their numbers and I have someone Ill in my household I just add annoying numbers to my directory under PITA ......aka pain in the a*** or telemarketers. I then have proof of the frequency of calls and I m aware it s them and don t answer the call. Sorry for long explanation but hopefully it might just help someone.

Automated Amazon account scam!

They said they re from paypal and they need my personal paypal data to tell me something urgent. I immediately hung up cause it sounds like a fraud.
