Had a call from this number three or four times in the last couple of weeks. It rings for no more than five seconds then stops. I bought a whistle off ebay last week. Next time they call i'll pick up and use it. See if i can blow out their ear wax! :)

Missed the call and this came up when I did . As it is a local number to me (Wakefield) I rang it back and the line was dead. They rang even thought i am registered with telephone preference.
Have no idea who is calling me. Looked up number on Internet and it would appear to be a spam.
I got called at 12:24pm but didn't answer as wasn't sure who it was and I don't answer numbers I don't know or unknown but searched it here to find out whom it was so thank ladies and gentleman for your comments it really helped me to stop panicking in case it was something that had happened to my step daughter who lives up north xx

Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 1618142xxx, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already - mostly as insurance marketing, PPI - car accident chasers, "1st call group" or "Pensions Advisory Service". No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?

Received a call from this number this morning, i let it go to answering machine ( landline) and no message was left, then called beeped & ended. Very suspicious call I felt.
