Michael Smith, said I could get a loan of £1000 for £48 a month. I'd need to pay £25, then £75, then £200 then another £200. Asked for my bank details which I refused to give. Got very abusive & told him I would report him as it was a total scam & he laughed in my face. Total d**know. How do these people get away with it

This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with pension reviews ("Pension Advice Bureau"), accident claims, payment protection (PPI). I have just had an accident and am waiting for the insurance company legal eagles to call me, I asked him 5 times what does my report say, he kept going on, 1st from the accident management company then the motor insurers bureau but still couldn't answer my question, no way are they going to take any money from my compensation, I put the phone down, so very aggrevating when I do have one about to start.

They are a claims management company asking if you have had an accident. Do not do business with them

Told them they were a scam. Very domineering woman wanted to argue so I put the phone down. She immediately rang back and tried to continue the argument - same result.

Multiple caller. Demanded to speak to the owner. When I said that was me, he then demanded my name. I asked him to first tell me what it was in connection with and he told me not to shout! I politely ended the call and he phoned straight back. Pushy, impolite and a nuisance.
