Call from lady with Indian accent saying she was from Microsoft and that my name was being used by hackers and that she wanted to verify my licence number.

I also had a call yesterday from this number and when I called back it was unrecognised. Why does this happen

I believe this is a scam, telling me I am subject to HMRC fraud and telling me to press 1 for further information - I hung up
As resident in Denmark I am keen to know who is calling me. As I will not answer foreign phone numbers without knowing who is calling.

I answered the call, dead silence for a minute. I ended the call without speaking to anyone.
Call from a female called ‘sami’ with an indian accent from ‘CFS’ asking for the named director. Obviously bogus
Said she was with bt and wanted me to go on my computer to check my broadband. Really don t think this was legit
