SPAM SCAM Automated call Banking Call center Received call of a prerecorded message from banking security, no bank mentioned though. Then they asked to press 1 to get through to an operator. This is the type of call designed to SCAM the elderly & vulnerable out of their savings. Hang up like I did!
Gentleman with a northern accent claiming to be our towns child safety officer Telling us how we'd signed up to a child safety booklet to go to our local schools. As he couldn't pronounce the names of the schools correctly that didn't really help his cause Told him we'd never spoken before to which he quickly replied "ah right ok leave it with me" and then promptly hung up
Automated call, supposedly from Visa, advising of a pending payment of £900 from my account - the usual scam call ("press 1 to speak to an advisor," and then they try to get your bank details.)

Scammers: Call from what sounded like an Indian call centre telling me I was going to get a 40% discount on my O2 bill.
I answered the phone. I spoke 3 times but they stayed quiet. I'm not willing to stay on the line only for those to get into my phone.
