I had send a mail to HSBC and this number rang me back to discuss the matter. The woman on the other end of the line wanted me to confirm my e-mail address and then answered my query. So unless someone hacked the e-mail system of HSBC, I m pretty sure it s a legit number.

THERE WAS A LINK TO A WEBSITE TO INFORM HALIFAX THAT THIS WAS A SCAM ATTEMPT! You were asked to enter you account login details to access the denial facility. Delete this text if you receive it.
