Keep sending me sms saying called but left no message. When I check my call log there is nobody from that number attempted to call. Do not ring back if they contact this way as you may pay a lot more than you realise. Also when you look at where in London it originates it's actually a London number originating from Guernsey SO BEWARE!!!!!

This number should be a landline from areas of Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Thornaby-on-Tees, Redcar, Billingham, Yarm, Eaglescliffe, South Bank, Stokesley. I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet resources, which should be a good sign... Does someone have some experience with this one? Was trying also different formats of this number, but no luck.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 12696048xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with insurance marketing - Life Insurers 'Review Department'. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

Scam via browser saying you have a trojan virus and to ring the number. Do not ring. Not a virus, just a scam to charge you to fix it. If you have Safari and it locks with the message, force quit it, and then restart it while holding down shift key to load Safari without opening previous browser windows.
