Malaysian phishing scam to get peoples details. Accented person called "John" called, same scam as the people using 0203 634 9914, just using another phone number and name of company. Obviously a big call centre somewhere. Just block them of you can and ignore

These people are definitely dodgy. The phone rings and a woman tells me it’s about my washing machine and there’s nothing to worry about. I asked the name of her company. She said it was ‘Cover Group UK.’ She said that the cover on my washing machine has just run out. I said that that I thought it was insured. Then she changed her story slightly by saying that warranty has run out (The warranty ran out over a decade ago). I pointed out that that’s irrelevant because I’m insured. She hung up on me.
