Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. A man with a very strong Indian accent said his name was James, called from this number saying he was from 3 mobile. He said it was regarding an "upgradetion" He didn't ask me to confirm even my name, but asked how much I was paying for my monthly contract. I told him if he was really from 3, he would already have access to that information, he didn't want to talk any more, and hung up on me. Definitely a SCAM!

This number called just before 7.00pm saying I owed approx £86 for Amazon. When I redialled the number it said not recognised.
Had 2 calls and both at 10.42 am one day and 10.43am the other following day . I used a land line that does not show its number to call back and the number does not accept call back . I block these pest numbers on my Mobil once I know they are spam . This number is spam and now blocked .

I was called this afternoon from this number. As I had received a similar unknown number yesterday I answered and a completely unintelligble foreign voice answered. I put the phone back on receiver and have since blocked the number. It was from Bristol yesterday as was today's caller.

Claimed to be from Vodafone. Said a SIM swap had been requested and wanted to check this was correct. I said it was not correct. He then said he suspected my account had been hacked and that he would sent an SMS with a code which I had to read to him. The SMS came from Vodafone and had a code with text reading 'this code gives access to your account, do not share it'. The caller was a scammer and wanted access to my account. I hung up.
