Silent calls are made once or twice daily. My answer-phone states "the caller has cleared", and normally the number is withheld, but not on this and a previous occasion. The pattern of the calls makes me think it is the same caller, [for many months]. The TPS advise it may be silent or abandoned calls,or recorded calls.

Automated Scottish female voice left a message quoting a reference number and telephone number to call back. The company was called Zinc, which I m assuming is a debt collection company or someone attempting to steal my personal information, seeing as I have no debt.

So this number called me this morning, when I answered a male with an Indian accent asked for me directly (he knew who I was), I ask who was speaking and he responded he was from the Credit Investigation Bureau - I instantly asked this idiot if that is the best he and his scamming buddy s could come up with, he responded with a stutter and promptly hung up on me. Called as one of those accident claims people. As I m registered with TPS, I asked how they got my number and they hung up.

This is a research organisation that will be passed on your details when you use a service like Police, Fire, Local Authority or Social/Housing Associations. They get your number from one of these organisations. You can ask to delete your number and they do comply. If you don t want calls from this number, please be sure to inform the above associations you do not consent to your data being shared.
