I this is a search i made for Matalan in Newcastle upon tyne I pponed the number as i wished to speak to customer servie. A male voice spoke to me saying you have reached your credit please press one to make a payment, I dony have any credit withe matalan. I thought this was a bit fishy so i blocked the number. then i asked my husband to phone the number from his old Nokia phone. the reply was. This number has been blocked. hmmm was it a scam or what. this was my experience, I hope my comments help.

Claimed they were calling from my bank but never told me which bank. Their claim was my account had been scammed with two transactions for large amounts over £1000,00 and they needed to authorise the payments.

Just had a call from this number saying they were from National Accident Line. Definite scam. They were asking about an accident I had a few months ago and that I was due compensation. I strung them along. "Glad you called, I went through all the details with your colleagues weeks ago. They said I was due £8k in compensation'. 'Sir this is the 1st time I've called you.' Had a card through the door saying they are from Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire County Court Bailiff Team - called the 01582 506 714 number and it just rings out. At the bottom of the card it says Albany Print and Design, HMP Isle of Wight....pretty certain this is fake!!!

Answered and it hung up within 3 seconds, could be anything so marked as dangerous

Fraud American accent, pre-recorded message saying it was HMRC and there was a problem with my tax record. Told me that in order to avoid jail I needed to sort this out immediately and had to press 1 to be put through to an advisor. Potentially very threatening for anyone who didn’t recognise it as a scam. Google search reveals that if I had pressed 1 my call might have been rerouted to a different country and I could have faced hefty phone charges.

I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. Said that she understood, I had lost money in an investment and would I like to get it back, I asked how she got my name and phone number and she immediately hung up. This is obviously a scam,

Just got a phone call from this number at 10:24am, 26/4/2023 stating that there has been 2 "international transactions" over £700 this morning. Don't believe it one bit considering its from an EE provided phone number. It then says to press 1 to cancel the transaction. I didn't press anything and just left it then it hung up.
