Another scam call from "The Advisors", trying to sell premium savings on life insurance. 'Paul' tells me their website is at theadvisors.co.uk - visiting that results in a rather empty webpage from the domain owner trying to sell the domain for £800. No proper website in place! I have received phone calls from this number a few times so I called to tell them to stop calling. The call went to the answering machine message "your call is very important to us, please stay on the line and wait for the next available agent" - no mention of company name (always a rubbish sign), I waited 5 minutes and they disconnected.

Safe number I received a missed call from this number but none of the 'who called me' websites had any comments and I wanted to know who had called. As the number is local to me, I took a chance and called them back, It's the Boots Opticians Appointment Booking Centre so it's quite safe. They have written to me several times as I'm due for my eye test but I just hadn't got around to making an appointment. I'm leaving this comment just to let other searchers know who called.

This number called my landline this morning. Indian/Pakistani lady claiming to be from BT. Said my internet speed wasn't up to scratch and did I know how to check the speed. I said I did and checked regularly. She asked when I last checked and what was the speed. I said I checked yesterday and the speed was was what I expected. The call was then ended abruptly from their end. Now blocked.

Was called this morning about 10am was a recorded message, saying we need your authority to pass payment to amazon of £500, and also about a £1000 that needs authorising, the recorded message was crackling and hard to hear all but i just hung up. then did 1471 to see who it was as they made out it was my bank wanting authorisation.
