I have witnessed family getting harassment calls, invoices and debt collection threats from these stupid people. The magazine they claim to place ads in, is also aware of their scam and of course has no arrangement with them whatsoever. Report them to Trading Standards and Action Fraud and if they send letters, ignore them but keep a record of them so that when they do get caught (a matter of time) you can contribute evidence if required. Had several calls that I let ring out. Only answered so they d stop calling. Guy, said he was a representative of EE offering me deals. Lot of noise in the background, he got interrupted by something chiming very loudly. These cold callers just don’t get it, do they? I know many businesses who became very successful without having to make a single cold call. How did they do it? They built a good website and then spent the time and money on getting that website to the top of search results, so when people typed in a search for their product or service, their website appeared at the top or near the top of the search results. The very fact these cold callers are clearly too incompetent to do this (hence they need to cold call)

Got a call from a man with strong northern accent he asked for me by name. He said that they believe that I had worked in a noisy environment. When I told him I hadn t he asked what jobs I had done since leaving school. He than asked if I had ever worked in a noisy job, I told him no, he then just cut me off.
