Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. 07363953461 is a FAKE scam CLI being used by an offshore call centre. They call folks and pretend to be calling from BT, regarding error logs received from your internet connection. The idea is to ask you to download remote desktop software to gain access to your computer, then attempt to bamboozle you with made up technical nonsense whilst in the background they copy your files and internet settings in the hope that yo have stored online banking credentials.

SCAM Don’t answer calls from these scumbags. Always 020 in origin-block and report on every earthly forum. Frankly what’s the point of the ICO/Action Fraud/7726 text reporting and all the other options Surely their easy to locate with todays technology and number of reports of this and similar numbers!

Indian accent claiming to be EE running a promotion. He ask for some pretty personal information. Name, address etc things EE should already have on file. Did not know the branch he was working from and was pretty adamant to get card info to enroll for the so called promotion but I had already picked up that it was a scam so no information was provided.

Rang me and checked my name and the proceeded to tell me he wanted to talk to me about my computer I told him I suspected he was trying to defraud me and put the phone down.

Called saying they're from Carphone Warehouse, offering me an iphone. Thought I'd play along for a bit instead of hanging up. Asked where they're based so, so I could see if they're far from me. They hung up immediately. Ah well, so much for my game.

Fraud Pretended to be from O2 about our bill. Wanted to send email and one time code. Clearly not from O2 or Manchester - unless the Manchester accent has changed recently
