Asian voice supposedly from BT about internet. I acted dumb and he cut me off.

Scam. Text message from this number purporting to be from EVRi, stating that there is a shipping fee to pay on a parcel, along with a link to a website where payment can be made. Ignore - fraudulent/con attempt.

SPAM caller hung up when I answered. More dodgy phone calls this week that in whole of 2021

claimed to be a banking/card support team (automated voice), didn't say which bank or card provider though. Phishing for details.

Scam and/or phishing attempt. It attempted to get me to message the phone number via WhatsApp. The person had sent an SMS from another number (07566706069) claiming to have dropped their phone down the toilet and that they’d instantly acquired a new phone. They asked me to message specifically via WhatsApp (???). This is the fourth message I’ve had this week, from a variety of unknowns, being asked to message a new number by someone claiming to have lost/damaged their phone.

SPAM missed the call, rang them, all I got was music playing so presuming it was someone wanting to con me out of my money

Caller claimed to be from Microsoft, and there was a problem with my computer. I hung up after a couple of minutes, caller did not call back. The caller new my name and address.

This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years. SCAM - Call to my landline at 9.53 today. It was a pre-recorded message saying they were querying a suspicious Debit Card payment of £600 sent abroad. They did not say what bank or give any other details. I was asked to press 1 to speak to someone or 2 to confirm. I hung up.

Claiming to be from Microsoft to say they have detected hacking on a computer, which is not switched on (not plugged in to a power supply). He threaten to cancel the Microsoft Licence Number saying - that Microsoft would not support the product and the computer could no longer be used!

Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.
