This number deleted my email adress and password of my facebook.

Definitely a scam, tried to inquire about something to do with housing and when I explained this was a work number, became very rude and argumentative. Background noise was like a call centre, with lots of people talking.

SCAM I recognised the 01296 as a scam number and said I blocking that number, the line went dead. I blocked the number.

Looks like a financial scammer. Said I had two payments about to be made from my bank account, one for Amazon for £250 and one an international money transaction for £900. Checked with my bank - no transactions due.

Said it was a return number to contact PayPal on a suspicious email. It is not the number for PayPal given on their website. The number on their website is a landline number not a mobile number.

This person claimed to be my child who had smashed their phone and wanted me to WhatsApp this number, which I didn’t do. They said they had called from a friend’s phone 07599569709 which was about to die. This is terrible preying on parents. I don’t know what would have happened if I clicked on the number. Hope this helps others

Called twice in two days, claimed to be named "Alice" the first time (unlikely, given her heavy Indian accent), claimed to be from BT Openreach. We use a VOIP system so I put the phone down. Second time, gave no name but claimed to be calling from "[y]our electricity provider". I asked her which one, she took a stab at EDF (wrong), so I told her to do her homework better and put the phone down again. I checked the phone number and it was the same both times 02031295

Try’s to tell you there’s a CCJ against you for unpaid fees to an advertising company (community council advertising working in connection with National crime prevention) recons bailiffs will be attending at 9am. Call from man with Indian accent - "your contract with Three is coming to an end". Me: "could you remind me of the number" - "the what?" - "the contract number" and he hung up. I think it's fair to say he was up to no good. And judging by the street view below, the number is likely spoofed as I can't see a boiler room operation going on in a highland village.
