Have had 4 calls on 30/06/23 and 2 on 05/07-23 - do not know anyone in this area and am concerned as to how they got my number - have reported to Ofcom
SCAM pretended to be Virgin Media.
My mum in law who is 98 had her bt bill charged £20.30 . Never got to the bottom of it as when called it wasn't recognised. Bt did waive the charge.

Pretended to be from our energy company saying we had been overcharged on our bill as someone elses electric had been charged to our meter number Very convincing at first but then asked questions about our contract ect THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN FOR SAYING THEY ARE YOUR SUPPLIER WHEN THEY ARE NOT
Claiming we had an outstanding insurance policy for drains etc which we do not, also quoted a password which has occurred on other scam calls so looks like same lot trying it on to unwary types.

Missed a call to my mobile from this unknown local Nottingham number. Suspicious as I haven't given my number to any but a handful of friends, and my doctor/dentist/pharmacy. No message left. Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it. When I checked 10 minutes ago, *this* service said there had been 16 searches in the last 10 days. Now when I've returned 20 minutes later it says there have been 20 searches. Indian woman called Jessie from Housing Disrepair Association. Told me I'd been reported as having damp in the home. Asked her what country she was calling from and what location which she wouldn't answer, she then wanted to know if I was a private or social tennant. Told her I knew she was a scammer, at which point she hung up.

ISP scam from India. Man from Openreach said that my internet connection had been used for illegal activity and they would disconnect me. Obvious scam. I played dumb for a bit and eventually the guy gave up and disconnected the call.
SCAM A possible scam, they say they are calling from visa, say detected some suspected transactions from your account and request your full name and birth date. I did not give.
Very rude man on the other end of the phone wouldn’t let me get a word in. When I eventually interrupted him to explain I’m poorly with covid he put the phone down!

This number called me at 15.50 approx today 20/07/23...I allowed him to answer and he said he was from Vodafone about my account ..i do have a Vodafone account but I wouldn't let him speak .I just said no thankyou and turned him off ...I thought if it that important they can send me an email
