I was called just now by a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from Openreach and that she believed I should be getting download speeds of over 40mbs. She asked me to do a speed test which I did and got 19mbs. I asked how I would know she was genuinely from Openreach. She handed me over to her supervisor. He tried to convince me he was genuine and asked my press Ctrl Windows buttons on my keyboard so he could improve my internet connection speed. I again challenged whether he was from BT Openreach. H

SPAM My phone alerts me with a 'suspected fraud' message on the screen underneath the caller ID Very similar numbers have been calling during the last 2 months or so, all 01204 code. All numbers blocked and this one will be too.
It sounded like a very busy call centre. The woman sounded English. She asked for Mr Kiren. I misunderstood the name a bit at the start and said twice that Karen or no Mr is here. She finally hung up. I have no idea who called me and I did not want to answer her who I am. I thought it might be scam or similar. I blocked the number.
Just posted the comment above and would like to add that I have reported this matter to the Police and BT and want to urge people not to fall victim to this. The Police have investigated it and have said it is a scam. - Be warned.

SCAM as it's about nonsense saying legal action something about a letter being sent back and something about the queen it was odd as I don't usually get phone calls like that not since a few days ago and it's beginning to annoy me as receiving phone calls like I did today has only been a distraction and it has overwhelmed me to my limits I hope it stops soon as I'm not so sure how much more I can take of this
Apparently this is HMRC, saying the same as previously mentioned. Warrant for my arrest about to be issued because I m evading tax!!
Not spam or a scam. They're Custom Insurance & Mortgage Solutions. I have my life assurance cover through them. They ring me every year to see if I need anything else.
Keep getting nuisance calls from this number. I keep telling them that I m not interested and to take my number off their list, but all to no avail. How do I report this company and stop the calls ?

this number has called several times saying they are from british gas accounts, I told an asian sounding guy I wasn twith British gas so he kept asking who my supplier wa, I told him I wasn t prepared to give him that information and hung up. I had already checked this number and contacted my supplier(British gas lite) who assured me my account is an online product and under no circumstances would they phone me.

The number 0800 862 0818 is genuine, but everyone should always consider if a number is spoofed - try to get them to tell you something about you that they know already. Eg if they ask for your email, tell them a fake one and see if they know it's fake. If they don't, they may not be genuine.

Automated call Kept miss calling me and when I attempted to return the call its just sounds high pitch beeps.
Calling Sapphire on this number is a cost trap. You hold on for several minutes whilst an automated message chips on and on @ 15p a minute and then when it is answered and you state that you are chasing payment their standard response is that the cheque to settle the Voucher claim will be posted next Monday. This has happened to me on a total of 7 times now. I ve received 2 payments of £20 and £50 but I ve still not got back my £79.99 fee plus being charged around £15 in phones calls. 07894795625 usually receive call from this no every Monday at approx 09:25. She/he/it must have changed their shift pattern as now receiving calls on Wednesday at approx 10:15. Always a silent call and then phone goes down. As I have said before if you want my bank account (the one in Switzerland naturally) you just have to ask very very nicely.
