Fraud This number was given to a very vulnerable elderly friend of mine for her to confirm a transaction on her debit card. Fortunately her bank did not sanction the transaction. The number is for a hotel in Vietnam!

Pretending to be from Amazon and saying that I had a £900 transaction taken from my Amazon account and wanted me to follow their instructions and put a code in my phone I told him to call me back in 10 minutes as my daughter would be speak to him and she works with the police he hung up. I did know it was a scam that’s why I said it. I just feel sorry for the people that they do trap as they are scum. If you don’t No them hang up. And don’t give them any of your details.

This is the latest spoof number in the "Carphone Warehouse" scam - they aren't Carphone Warehouse but a bunch of crooks after your bank details.

Another scam call from "The Advisors", trying to sell premium savings on life insurance. 'Paul' tells me their website is at theadvisors.co.uk - visiting that results in a rather empty webpage from the domain owner trying to sell the domain for £800. No proper website in place! I received a call from someone claiming to be from O2 offering a 50% discount. Wanted me to read a one time code. I checked and I did have a text from O2 but the code said it was to retrieve my account and that O2 would not ask for the number. I told the guy this and he insisted that it was a promotional code and the warning meant I shouldn't tell anyone else about the number. Looked up the number and it wasn't connecte with O2. I demanded proof from the guy that he was from O2 and he got upset at me. SCAM!

Caller apparently calling from Currys selling very cheap mobile phones. They hung up when I pointed out they had called a work phone, so probably a scam.

SCAM - Pretending to be the Halifax Bank asking if you had attempted to make a payment.

Called me but when I answered immediately had an answering machine that said a letter for me had been returned to them so they would be taking legal action, like an answering machine would go into that much depth. Then I waited for the message to repeat to hear who it claimed to be and instead it hung up. Clearly a scam.

SPAM claims to be from Currys PC World about an iphone deal. I asked woman where she was based and she repeated name of "company". She then gave a place name in the midlands, I said that my phone said Bodmin (in Cornwall). She hung up.

Warned of unusual transactions on my card including Amazon and international transfers. Unsubtle scam but using local number identity meant I at least answered the call.

Fraud 07716393164- government energy bill discount text asking you to click on the link to apply, I stupidly fell for this giving away my personal details and bank account details including the security number on the back of my card, I thought I was scam savvy but not as much as I thought I was, caught in time with a call from my bank to cancel my card...be aware, this is a text, I've reported it to 7726.
