I received a badly worded answer machine message from this number. they were claiming to be HMRC!
This number rang to tell me there was fraudulant activity on my bank card, heard them many times before so knew it was a scam.

Fraudulent call centre(could hear this in the background) saying I had been victim of a fraud on my Amazon account which had had £1200 charged go the credit card linked to the account. Wanted me to push 1 or 2 etc to deal with the issue. I hung up but someone else may be duped by this type of con. Very angry that they can do this all the time.
Telemarketing
So fed up with my phone buzzing re these calls. Have blocked it but phone informs me when they ring. Also my 97 yo dad is getting them. Now that does make me angry!!!!
SUSPECT SCAM CALLER - DO NOT REPLY
I was called by this number a week ago and they told me that I had a refund of ?2000 due. I told them that if this was the case to send me an e-mail as I was on site at the time. This e-mail never arrived, I then had another call, I explained I was at work and that I had already spoken to someone and they had not e-mailed me when I had asked them to. The person on the line then hung up on me!!!

Fraud Stated they were from Virgin Media and they were cutting my internet off in 2 hours. The conversation got very sweary from my end, before hanging up. Be warned that this scam used to be robotic automated voice, but they are using a human now, albeit a subspecies who have not developed ethics quite yet.
