cold call about PPI and a car crash - total rubbish and not in the UK so who is selling my data??

Number was 0151 281 5034, Liverpool, England. Said they were from HMRC and if I didn’t press 1 to continue with call, a warrant would be issued in my name. I hung up. If they were genuinely from HMRC they would not call you like this. I hate to think what would have happened if I had continued with the call, obviously trying to scam me for money. Please don’t fall for this. PUT THE PHONE DOWN.
