This is NOT Santander. They called on this number and asked me to go through security. I called the main number back and they confirmed it wasn t them who had called me, even though this number is verified as them on lots of sites.

very rude man called. Said he was conducting energy readings in the area and wanted to talk about that. He had a Lancashire/Mancunian accent which fits with the Manchester area code. He was trying to make it sound like he was from a council or energy watchdog type place. I asked if he was a private company trying to sell something. He said "No" He went on again saying he was taking energy readings as he was conducting a survey..... I said "you re conducting a survey on behalf of who?"
