Have had several calls from this number this week, the first claimed to be from British Gas trying to confirm my elec account, Im not with BG! then called again the following day claiming to be EON about renewing my contract, not with EON so they are either trying to get you to confirm banking details for the renewal for the direct debit or falsely signing you up to another company

Why is there no category for the "your computer has a virus" scam? These people claim to be from Microsoft technical support - hint, Microsoft has no way of knowing that you have a computer, let alone if it is infected with a virus - and want you to give them remote access to your computer to steal your data, or bank details, or lock up your computer and demand a ransom, or just plain scam you for "fixing" something that wasn t broken in the first place.
