Rang today, when I asked why they had called me and how they received my mobile number he just continued with PPI refund speech. Again I explained that I don t have loans or a mortgage so he then began to question me as to if I knew what PPI was as I must have signed up for it. Rude and don t take no for an answer so next time they call I am going to blow a whistle down the ear piece of my phone.
This is a scam. They are saying they are from BT, however the following is true (as I worked for BT for 36 years). 1 - BT do not ring you on a mobile number (unless and engineer has an appointment at your house that you know about). 2 - The phone is registered to Vodaphone, BT do not use any other networks for their own use. 3 - He could not give me my BT account number. 4 - He said he was from Millenium City London, this mobile number is located in Manchester! I am afraid its fraud, called and said he has my cv details and that he has a job opportunity near me, and found my cv on reed, i am currently looking for work so didn't think anything of it, said that he will send me an email and i have to register my details to get the job description, he did ask me for my email, he had info from my cv where i used to work. I haven't received anything from this number and am afraid its a scam ????

Caller asked for the home owner and said it was not a sales call. the company did have our surname but did not ask to speak to Mr or Mrs......... When I asked how they got our number (ex-directory) they just put the phone down.
Another one that rings 4 times a week asking for a lisa jackson from pre a debt collection place does my head in and they use other numbers as well not just this one sad loosers...

"National Database" saying we haven t had free energy assessment that may lead to a grant for new boiler. Only database we re on is TPS so shouldn t have had a call. Other websites report the company as Dundee-based "Aspen Capital Consultants Ltd". Will report to ICO for 3rd time in 3 weeks.

Reading above it appears to be Oxfam, well I was trying to put up a light at home and had to stop because of the phone call, i answered the phone and the person put the phone down, thanks for wasting my time Oxfam.

This number is the planning and enviroment department at rochford council
The number 01736 735261 called me about 10.30am 28/06/23 and it was a recorded message from an International Banking service stating I had made a payment of £300 to Amazon and £1100 to another provider. Told me to press 1 if correct and 2 to speak with an adviser. Pressed 2 and answered by "This is Officer Stephen, how can I help". When I asked which organisation he represented the phone went dead.
