Repeated missed calls wondered if it's telemaketers

I keep getting this caller every day and when I pick up the phone they ring off. This is getting to be a nuisance call and I want it stopped.

woman called with foreign accent. could not understand her English. told her I couldnt take the call right now. said goodbye and she politely said goodbye back. end of call.

As others have said, single ring then hang up.

Fifth time in last few days. In same call told they were calling from London but when passed on to the superviser they said they were in Australia. We have been polite, told them we know it is a scam, shouted, and spoken in an Indian accent but they still keep calling with the same script. I just tell them my computer is being slow and put the phone down and do a quick job or send a text to a friend. I get lots done whilst at the same time they are not conning anyone else. If you miss your payments then i agree a call to either take payment or talk about how you intend to meet the payments, but not 6 times a day, and you need to update customer management systems of previous conversations. REMEMBER never go through security on an incoming call, always call them back, this is just a hired call center doing their debt collection, you dont know what they are doing with your data

They rang and left a message on machine at 8.34 am searching for Ex partners son. He s been on the fiddle with mobile phone contracts using my address and phone number.
