Missed call no message left so not sure who this is

23 Nov 2021 - Silence at first, then a click and background call centre noise. An Asian person then said "Hello Maam, it's "Jacks from Carphone Warehouse. How are you today?" I said I wasn't interested and put the phone down, as I haven't had any dealings with Carphone Warehouse. I also suspect this isn't really Carphone Warehouse!Reply

This is Asda warehouse at Teesport

Told me he had detected my wireless connection was slow and they had been monitoring it for two weeks on the DNS server. He said my computer had a virus and needed me to connect to the internet so he could fix it. I told him I was an IT manager and he was talking nonsense and to go forth and multiply. He rang back and replied likewise and called me derogatory names. Don t be fooled by callers from this number telling you your computer has a virus. Hang up!!!

Debt collectors for Ebay/Paypal. Nasty, unhelpful, rude, aggressive and a pain in the **** who rings up to four times a day.

Received an urgent sounding recorded message, claiming to be British Gas and asking us to call 01216290765. Spoke to BG, and they have confirmed that THIS IS A SCAM, as they would never contact customers in such a manner.

Obviously a (badly) spoofed number. London numbers don't start with (020) 1xx, only 020 3xx, 020 7xx, and 020 8xx.

I get calls from this mob every few days asking me to call them and quote a reference number. I eventually decided to call them and ask who they were representing - the guy wouldn t say. I didn t quote the ref number as it all sounded way suspicious. I do not owe money to anyone, other than a dodgy parking ticket I got 4 years from a crowd of crooks running a scam in Perth. Any one else get calls due to a parking fine?

omg yeah i know what you mean sharon they tried calling me again today well shud i say they called me several times again when i told them where to go and that i have infact got there address they put the phone down on me yes i have reported it to the police here and in liverpool where there operating from sharon you need to do that also i cannot understand how they are getting away with this but they will get there comeupence sharon what comes around goes around and also where are they getting our numbers

Currently in the US and just had a call from this number. I didn t answer but found this page so I ll endorse peoples comments about being contacted whilst abroad. I ve recently added my mobile number with the Telephone Preference Service but it can take a month before that kicks in.

I think this is a scam number aiming to talk the vulnerable (ie people with debts) into giving out their bank details. I terminated the call as soon as they mentioned debts/creditors

Had several calls from this number on our mobiles. I rang them back and ascertained from them that they had bought a quantity of telephone numbers from various sources and their computer was ringing them trying to get a positive response to their FREE BOILER initiatave. This crap company has called about 4 times in past couple of weeks. Each time I requested that they remove my number from their database as I think they re dispicable, low life, preying on the vulnerable. A friend who had a car accident was totally taken in by a similar company, as they called the day after her accident, so she thought they were from her insurance company. This numbeer claims to be Sky marketing. Sky know nothing about calls made apparently on its behalf from this number which is used to send cold call marketing calls.
