Answered the call and heard an automated voice claiming that HMRC would be initiating legal proceedings against me. Terminated the call before they got any further. Very dodgy.

SCAM This looked like a local number BUT it was a recorded message purporting to come from Amazon about a sizeable sum taken from my account for an order and to press 1 if it wasn't me who made the order. Needless to say I hung up without pressing any numbers.
SPAM SCAM Accident SPAM COLD CALL A man called claiming to be working for "MA" (Motor Assist) regarding a car accident I'd had that had already been resolved by my insurance company. I asked where my data came from he said "UKRI" (United Kingdom Insurance Limited) about whom he gave a lengthy description. I advised him that I wished for all of the data he held about me to be erased as per GDPR and DPA's right to erasure, he seemed surprised an I told him this was because it was all false

I rang the number back it’s about PPI saying I had money back in 2019 I told the lady I didn’t receive any money and to remove me from their database She started to raise her voice asking why would they do that when I had received money! I told her I had NOT received any money and to remove me from database. She started to speak I cut her short and said these calls should be removed remove me immediately and hung up. SPAM SPAM I did not answer as I did not recognise the number. It recorded a message on my voicemail in Mandarin. I regularly get calls from apparent UK mobiles which do this. One advisor at my airtime provider told me it may be a number which charges a lot to call it. or even to answer it. This cannot to me as I have a capped charge at zero.

This was a call about life insurance, and could save £1000 of the policy. They couldn't tell me who my policy was with, or the policy number and had the incorrect post code, so I played along with them, requesting that they give me those details first. They then changed their story and said it was a survey and asked again who my policy was with, and so it went on and on and they gave up. Number blocked from future calls, but that won't work as they have dozens of numbers. Always a woman of foreign descent.
