Suggested they had had a claim from my phone number 2 to 5 years ago. I replied that I thought they were a scammer and said I would report them to the police., Caller was polite and just said thank you.

They just hang up on being told to announce their name/business and I don't have phone ringing with nuisance calls when I am in the middle of something!!!! SCAM This is a scam call claiming to be from Microsoft and telling me that my computer is highly compromised and they need to secure it. Yet they called my nans old landline which I wanted to keep when they house was sold following my uncles death so I had it redirected to my phone. I know this is a scam as they used my uncles name and he had been dead since 2020 so there is no way his computer was sending them any reports
