l just dont like to unswer unknown numbers. They call early morning，midday and late afternoon like 7pm and that is everyday. They dont leave a message to identify who they are.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618147xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, accident chasers, RTA - claims of all kinds. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

Received automated calls on land line (which also identified my name ) about fraudulent use of debit card and asking me to press any button to run checks. I didn't do this and instead called my bank from a different phone (in case of phone scam). BoS confirmed it was not them. Sounds like a scam to me where if you press a button on your phone when on the automated call it holds the line open and the fraudster will be on the other end of the line when you think you are actually calling your bank and getting

This number called saying i had been in an low speed accident with passengers in my vehicle and they we instructed to close down a case but there were premiums that were due to be paid to me. When i questioned them about what accident they were referring to and which company instructed them to call me they quickly hung up

Clearly this is a nuisance and most certainly is unsolicited. Whilst the number appears to be a Manchester number clearly it is not. An elderly family member had a call from this number and in no way could understand the Asian caller. It is probably a fake number. When they ask if I have been in an accident recently my usual answer is to say "You tell me you seem to know". To the contributor who asked what 00 means in front of the number it is simply the first 2 digits you would dial when calling

Calling about a pension, wanted me to give them my address so they could send out documents to me. Yet when I questioned why he couldn't answer.

Possible Scam/Fraud trying to sell me financial/stock market products. Didn't feel right.
