Call center: Indian sounding lady called me and asked for me by name. I asked why she was calling & she said again "Are you Mrs ****?" . I asked who wanted to know. She didn't say. Told her to hurry up as I was about to go out and she hung up. Other people have said this number is someone claiming to be from Domestic & General about an expired washing machine warranty.

Fraud: This was a text received stating someone was trying to change recipient details on an HSBC account and they wanted me to confirm details and authenticity. However, I have not had an HSBC account for more than 4 years. Please report the number to your phone carrier and apply the normal block and spam filter to the number. Claimed I d had an un-claimed-for accident in the last two years which they "had a file on". Which is rubbish.

SCAM Fraud BEWARE ! This number has only recently appeared on this site (August 2023) from other people checking. Caller says you've suspicious transactions on your card, knows your name and last four digits of the card. Asks you to check the balance, in my case without any security questions. Hung up on me and didn't call me back when I told him I keep very little in the account, whilst I was silently checking the account in the background. Call your card provider and ask for a new card if this

SCAM A man tried to tell me that my money was locked in the blockchain. I asked him to explain the blockchain to me and when I told him that he was wrong, he became aggressive. After doing a bit of digging, this is a Skype number and the caller is not in the UK at all.

I m ashamed to say that I worked for Ben Reynolds for a short time back in 2012 when his company was called Crown Lawyers. Same story as these, he d get us to find people with debts, take a fee from them and then cut off all contact with them. Supposedly we d get a commission for every job taken on, but he d tell us that the person had decided not to go ahead with recovering their debt and so we got nothing. We then found out that they had agreed to pursue the debt and Ben just wanted to avoid paying us
